Tyler Buttram
Tyler Buttram has been a member of the Mannford Town Council and served his community for over 18 years. In 2005 he was named the Town Treasurer, a position he served for four years. In 2009 he moved on to the office of Town Trustee and in 2013 he was named Mannford Town Mayor and served in that capacity for ten years.
Through Tyler's leadership, Mannford has been one of the original and most consistent recognition training recipients, setting a standard for other towns’ participation in the OMAG Recognition program, as well as hosting regional training multiple times for surrounding cities and towns.
In addition, Buttram serves on the Creek County Industrial Trust that promotes industrial development for Creek County; he’s been a board member for the Oklahoma Conference of Mayors; and is a member of the Grand River Dam Authority.
Tyler’s community involvement includes Keystone Lake Association where he has served as president; Mannford Rotary Club, Mannford Lions Club, and Mannford School Booster Club where he has served all as president. He has served and a Mannford Softball Commissioner as well as holding memberships in the Mannford Masonic Lodge, Tulsa Akdar Shrine and Tulsa Scottish Rite.
Tyler Buttram is credited with assisting in Mannford’s forward progress through the creation of a strong working relationship in the town board and community; building relationships that garnered more than one hundred new homes as well as a senior housing project, and increasing retail sales for local businesses by more than 70%. It should be no surprise that he earned the President’s Award for Business Enhancement given by the Mannford Chamber of Commerce. Lake development occurred at a pace never seen at Lake Keystone as a direct result of Tyler's work with the Corps of Engineers and Senator Inhofe, resulting in a new marina and the development of Jellystone Park on Keystone. During Tyler’s term, Mannford also constructed a new city hall and public safety complex, a facility that is state of the art and will serve the city's needs for the next 50 years, he changed the working operations and culture of his town for a generation!
