Pamela Polk
Pam is the recipient of the 2017 Gerald Wilkins Award (City Manager of the Year Award) given by the City Management Association of Oklahoma. Recipients of this award are credited with strengthening the city manager form of government through their stable length of service to cities; dedication to civic activities; and participation in, and contribution to, CMAO; and commitment to the ICMA Code of Ethics.
She has served as the City Manager for Collinsville, Oklahoma since 2005 and prior to going into city management, she served as the City Clerk for the City of Mangum, Oklahoma.
Pam has an extensive list of involvement in various organizations, local, county, and statewide, that relate to her positions with Mangum and Collinsville. These organizations aid both local government and communities in working together to address the needs of each community.
She earned the District 11 Making A Difference award from Oklahoma representative Earl Sears. District 11 Making A Difference award is given to community leaders from a member of the Oklahoma legislature.
Pam received the 2012 Ambassador Award from the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce. The Ambassador Award from the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce is given βIn appreciation for outstanding representation of Collinsville in a positive light outside the community.β
What elevates her above her peers in the city management profession is the combination of a vision and accomplishment at a local level that is recognized by her peers resulting in her service on a statewide level.
At the time of her induction into the Hall of Fame, Pam was the only female city manager in Oklahoma to have the ICMA certified city manager designation. She also holds the designation of Certified Public Funds Investment Manager from the Association of Public Treasurers of the US and Canada.
